|DONATIONS TO HELP REFUGEES IN OUR COMMUNITY|| Temple Beth Israel has made a commitment to helping refugees in our community. In conjunction with the TBI Board of Trustees recent passing of a motion to join the HIAS Welcome Campaign (a national refugee advocacy organization), the TBI Board and Social Action Committee are taking steps to assist families locally, as well as creating an infrastructure to help in a more general way. Plans are still being determined, but we are eager to get all of our congregants involved.
We have reached out to a local family of six from Syria, living in Pomona at the moment, whose needs include finding employment, obtaining a second car, food and clothing donations, getting dental work, and financial support for rent payments. A congregational interest meeting will be held in July, but you can start helping right now by donating here (donations will be used for supplementing the family's rent). If you are able to help in any way, please contact Deena Benjamin (email@example.com) or Rabbi Kupetz (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the TBI Office at 909.626.1277.
|Tribute Contributions to TBI Programmatic and Endowment Funds||Tributes are donations to Temple Beth Israel in honor or memory of their loved ones and friends. When a tribute is made, a card is sent to person being honored or the family of person being remembered, and the tribute is published in the TBI newsletter The Kehillah.|
|Membership Pledges/Fees||You may pay your membership pledges, fees, and other Temple obligations on this page. This enables us to balance our budget, strengthen our religious, professional, and administrative staffs, and provide the meaningful programming and services we all enjoy and expect at Temple Beth Israel. Giving today ensures that our congregation will enjoy many tomorrows. Each gift is important - each gift is meaningful - your generosity is most appreciated.
