• 5784/2023 HHD Annual Appe...

We are so grateful to be observing these Days of Awe together.  Temple Beth Israel is proud to have clergy to guide and inspire us, board members who work diligently to oversee the Temple’s operations, and a large cadre of volunteers who organize programs, check in with congregants, and act to improve our broader community.

To honor our clergy, leadership, and volunteers, and to ensure the continued health and wellbeing of Temple Beth Israel and our two schools, please give as much as you can to our High Holy Days Annual Appeal. Your kind and generous response is appreciated by everyone associated with TBI – the Trustees, clergy, staff, fellow congregants and the children who represent the future of our congregation.

Every contribution makes a statement of support for Temple Beth Israel.

“Happy are those who act justly, who do tzedakah at all times” - Psalm 106:3

    Thank you for your gift!

  • Tributes

Tributes are donations to Temple Beth Israel in honor or memory of their loved ones and friends. When a tribute is made, a card is sent to person being honored or the family of person being remembered, and the tribute is published in the TBI newsletter The Kehillah. Contributions can be made to a number of different program and endowment funds.
  • Membership Pledges/Fees

You may pay your membership pledges, fees, and other Temple obligations on this page. This enables us to balance our budget, strengthen our religious, professional, and administrative staffs, and provide the meaningful programming and services we all enjoy and expect at Temple Beth Israel. Giving today ensures that our congregation will enjoy many tomorrows. Each gift is important - each gift is meaningful - your generosity is most appreciated.

  • Support of Virtual Progra...

Supports the infrastructure (equipment and subscriptions) to stream worship, classes, and other events to Facebook, YouTube, Zoom, and other Platforms.
  • SCRIP Purchase

The TBI Scrip Gift Card Fundraising Program provides TBI the opportunity to achieve financial sustainability through the shopping that each TBI member already does. Scrip is a way for all of us to support the temple without dipping any further into our household budgets.  This is because scrip income comes from the money we already spend on goods and services every day.

You can buy scrip for your own use or to give as gifts.  There are many ways to order scrip from TBI. The scrip order form is in the Kehillah, online at www.tbipomona.org, and available at the TBI Office. You can also order scrip in person on Sunday mornings when Beit Sefer is in session at the Scrip table in the sanctuary foyer.

An online option is at www.escrip.com.  Go to “sign up” and then register your grocery and credit or debit cards.  TBI will automatically get a donation from the stores that you use that are part of the scrip program. You may find them at the “Family of Merchants” on the website.

If you deceide not to participate, you can still support the program by making a direct contribution to TBI of $125 which is equal to the income that TBI would have received if you had purchased $2,500 of scrip each year. If you wish to make a donation to support the TBI Scrip Fund Raising Program in lieu of purchasing scrip, please do so here. Any amount will be appreciated.
  • Refugee Support

Temple Beth Israel has made a commitment to helping refugees in our community.  In conjunction with the TBI Board of Trustees passing a motion to join the HIAS Welcome Campaign (a national refugee advocacy organization), the TBI Board and Social Action Committee are taking steps to assist families locally, as well as creating an infrastructure to help in a more general way.

We are currently helping a local family of six from Syria, as well as other refugees in the community, whose needs include financial donations for food, rent, dental work, and help with social services. Financial donations of any amount are welcome and can be made with this form or at the TBI Office.  For more information, contact Deena Benjamin at [email protected], or call the TBI Office at 909.626.1277.
  • Bouquet of Books

Temple Beth Israel's Louis Family Library has an outstanding collection of over 2000 books, CDs, DVDs, and magazines for all ages. The collection stays fresh and current thanks to generous contributions to the Library Special Fund as well as direct donations of books and other materials. NOTE: This form is set up for up to 3 books. If you wish to sponsor more, please use a second form. Thank you.
